School Council
Welcome to our School Council. We respect and value the fundamental British Values of democracy and ensure the views and opinions of our pupils are expressed. At the beginning of September, the children are invited to produce a pitch which they then present to their class. The classes then elect school council members from year groups 2-4. They are voted fairly and democratically by their peers.
The School Council meet throughout the year to discuss ways to bring about positive changes in the life of our school, community and fundraising opportunities.
If children have any ideas or suggestions to help improve our school, please see your School Councillors, who will bring your suggestions to the school council meetings.
Our Vision
As a School Council, our job is to listen to anyone and try to work on suggestions given. We are all responsible members of our school who care about making the right decisions. We want everyone to be happy and to be as proud of our school as we are. We involve staff and children to help make the best decisions for our school.

Children In Need 2024
This year the School Council promoted a 'Dress spotty' day to raise money for Children In Need. Thanks to all the generous donations, we raised a grand total of £725.76! We even enjoyed a visit from Pudsey himself!
Poppy Appeal
To raise money for the poppy appeal, the School Council organised the selling of poppies, wristbands and keyrings.
Christmas Postbox
The School Council did a wonderful job of ensuring the safe delivery of all the Christmas post at Bedford Road this year - that is potentially 7,200 Christmas cards delivered in Years 3 and 4!
