Art and Design at Wootton Primary School
At Wootton Primary, we are passionate that all children should be entitled to the many wonderful opportunities the Arts have to offer and we aim to use the creative curriculum as a tool to inspire children, engage and encourage the Arts throughout their learning. Art is taught in all years groups following the National Curriculum. Throughout the children’s time at Wootton Primary, they will experience many different hands on techniques using different mediums. They will develop their skills in drawing, painting, making as well as learn about different artists and their work. Individual sketchbooks allow children time to practise new and existing skills as well as develop a sense of individuality and self-expression. Our children are very proud of their sketchbooks and the artwork produced.
